I tasted a snowflake today
It tasted of giggles and of dreams.
It secretly slid into my mouth and melted
As I walked through the street singing.
It caught me by surprise and filled me with hope.
It reminded me that life was more than what happens.
That hard work and risks were needed too.
It made me want more and do more.
I opened my mouth again in hope of another one falling on my tongue,
as I walked to the end of the street.
I tasted a snowflake today.
